What you need
- Plate and the last 5 of the chassis
- Aadhaar-linked mobile on the RC
- Buyer's name exactly as on Aadhaar
What can block it
- Unpaid or disputed challans
- A bank on the RC (Form 35 first)
- RC not Active, tax due, PUC expired
- Name, PIN or mobile on the RC not matching Aadhaar
Important to know
- Same-state sale in this demo; other state needs Form 28 first
- Report within 14 days; Form 29 is your proof that later challans are the buyer's
- Karnataka may call the vehicle in for a chassis check
Fees
Nothing; the buyer pays the transfer fee. Indicative: Karnataka schedule where known, otherwise central Motor Vehicles Act.
